Twas never really

The question

For we

Plebeians -

The living

Who are busy

Just being alive.

For us

It has

Always been

About whether

To have

Or not to have

That sets

The bar

And gives

Definitive answers

That defy

Class and time.

Think…

Wisdom

Morals

Respect

Honour

Ethics

Accountability

Kindness

Compassion

Humility...

Such things form

Viable and worthy

Frameworks.

Soooooo...

To be

Or not to be?!

Nah!!

Rather let

To live and

Live purposefully,

To love and

Love faithfully,

Be the tenets

That serve

Both ourselves

And others

Well.

These we can get behind.

These will outlive us all.
